לצערנו - לאור מצב המלחמה השורר במדינת ישראל, אנו נאלצים לבטל את מופעי פסטיבל "מרידיאנו" אשדוד, עליהם עמלנו במשך שנה ארוכה. הוראות ממשלת ישראל וצבא ההגנה לישראל בדבר סגירת השמיים והאיסור על פעילות ו/או התקהלות, מכל סוג שהוא, שאינן חיוניות, לא מותירות להנהלת הפסטיבל כל ברירה אלא לבטלו, נכון לעת הזאת.
אנו נעשה כל מאמץ לקיים את הפסטיבל במועד נדחה אחר, וככל שלא יעלה הדבר בידנו - ומייד כאשר יתאפשר הדבר, נעמוד בקשר מול כל אחד ואחד מכם, ונפעל להסדרת מצב הדברים האמור.
אנו מודים על האמון, התמיכה והסבלנות.
