A New Concert in Israel and Thessaloniki – A Premiere Event!
Monday, 16.6 | 20:00 | Amphi Ashdod
40 years after the release of the iconic album Eynayim Sheli, Yehuda Poliker presents a new show that will take the audience on a deep and heartwarming musical journey. Alongside the beloved tracks from the popular album, the performance will include songs from his previous band Benzin, Poliker’s solo work, and timeless classics from Greek music.
The masterpiece album Eynayim Sheli, released in 1985, is considered a milestone in Israeli music. It introduced Greek music to Israel, positioning it in a deserving and respected place. The album, which blended rock, Mediterranean influences, and Greek folk with Hebrew translations of the lyrics, became one of the most beloved and influential albums in Israeli music history.
Eynayim Sheli is seen as a groundbreaking fusion between East and West, which connects directly to Poliker’s album Efer Ve’avak. Later, Poliker was honored with the Greek President’s Award for promoting Greek culture in Israel and around the world.
Poliker’s tour will culminate in a special, celebratory performance in Thessaloniki – the city where his family history began. This will be a personal and emotional full-circle moment for him.
On stage with Poliker: a band of 11 musicians | Artistic direction: Louis Lahav
