In 1935, Antonio is hired as a teacher in a small, isolated village in Burgos, Spain. He forms an intense relationship with his young students, to whom he promises: to take them to see the sea for the first time in their lives. Seventy-five years later, the granddaughter of one of the students discovers the wonderful story behind the promise that was never kept.
