Neta Elkayam and Amit Hai Cohen grew up experiencing the cultural split that many creators in Israel face: the need to appear fully Israeli on the outside while deeply yearning to connect with their family’s foreign traditions on the inside. The couple creates, arranges, researches, and performs traditional Moroccan music together. Director Kamal Hachkar follows them on an emotional musical journey through Morocco, where they also explore their family roots.
