In an apartment building in central Madrid, the residents gather in Alberto’s flat to vote on a budget for replacing the building’s elevator. The meeting takes an unexpected turn when they learn that a new tenant with mental health issues is about to move into one of the apartments.

The news unsettles the neighbors, bringing hidden fears, old grievances and long standing tensions to the surface, changing the entire course of the evening.
