Smita lives in India and dreams of seeing her daughter receive an education and escape a life of misery. Julia works in her father’s workshop in Sicily. When he is injured in an accident, she discovers that the family business is on the verge of bankruptcy. Sarah, a prominent lawyer in Canada, is about to be promoted to manage her firm – but life has other plans. Smita, Julia, and Sarah, unknowingly connected, each rebel against their fate and choose to fight. Their deeply human story is a woven braid of solidarity and hope.
