Fifteen year old Ahmet lives in a remote village in North Macedonia, between a strict father, a flock of sheep and a conservative community. He no longer attends school after his father pulled him out to become a shepherd and care for the family herd. But at night, through his headphones and imagination, another world beats within him, a world of rhythms, parties and dreams.

Ahmet dreams of becoming a DJ and escaping the path that has been set for him, chasing the music that fills his heart. When an unexpected first love enters his life, a girl who has already been promised to someone else, he faces a difficult choice: surrender to what is expected of him or follow his own path.

DJ Ahmet is a vibrant and captivating coming of age drama about a boy who dares to dream in a place where dreams are seen as weakness. A film full of charisma, rhythm and heart, reminding us how important it is to pause and dance as if no one is watching.
